3. 能正确理解对话并能熟练朗读,初步表演对话。
4. 能正确地运用对话中出现的日常交际用语。

Step 1.Preparation
A. Greetings
B. Listen to a rhyme:Come here and meet us,please。
Play the tape and ask them listen to it several times and try to repeat.
C. Free talk
What day is it today? How do you spend your weekends? Where do you live? Where are you from? I’m from ….
D. Self-Introductions
T asks the Ss prepare a short self-introduction before class which includes ‘My name is …I’m …I’m from …’
Step2. Presentation and practice
A. Elicit
T: My name is…I’m from China. I’m Chinese. I speak Chinese and English. Who are you?
S1: I’m from… I’m… I speak… I like…
T: Is …from…? Where is she from?
S: She is from China.
T: Where are you from?
(Bb and teach ‘Where are you from?’)

T: But she’s not from China.(Show the pictures of different people) She is from the USA. She is American. She speaks English.

(Ask some students to come to front to show)
T: Nancy speaks English. Do you speak English, too?
(Bb and teach: Do you speak …?)
T: (Ask several students and ask them to ask me at last)
S1: Do you speak Chinese?
T: No. I don’t speak Chinese. I speak English and French. Why, because I’m not Miss Zhou now. I’m Mr White.(Show the picture)
T: I’m Mr White. I’m from New York.(Teach: New York)
T: I like China. Look! I’m visiting Nanjing.(Teach: visit)
T: But I also want to visit other cities in China. I’d like to visit…
(Show ‘I’d like to…’and help Ss understand it)
C. Read and say
T: (Show the picture of the text)Mr. White is visiting Liu Tao’s school. He’s a visitor.(Teach: visitor) What are they doing?
