I remember when I was young; my mother often described the beauty of thegrasslands through this poem: “tian cang cang, ye mang mang, feng chui cao dixian niu yang”. it means in English “Clear skies, sweeping plains, the grassbowing before the wind, revealing grazing horses and sheep.” I could recite thiseven before entering primary school.

16years ago, my mother visited one of the grassland of Inner Mongolia. Shesaid that no words could describe it’s stunning natural charm. With herdescription firmly printed on my mind I began to long for a tour to thegrassland.

Sadly, this marvelous image that I had in my mind changed completely whenmy mum and I visited the grassland a year ago. As soon as we got there, Icouldn’t believe my eyes. What was in front of me was just a piece of land withloosely grown grass. In the far distance I saw only a couple of horses feedinglazily. I asked my mother: “Where is the lush, tall grass” As puzzled as me,she said nothing. I was shocked to see the differences between the grassland inmy dream and what was in front of me.

On the way home, I thought a lot and tried to find answers.

Now I am old enough to bring awareness to other people and share my dreamfor the grasslands. Overgrazing and extensive farming have ruined the grasslandand so taken away the charm of our homeland. But I am confident that one day thegrasslands will recover and its true wealth and beauty will be realized as longas everybody gives his contribution to restore our homeland.

Everyone has a dream. Now I'll talk about my dream i What is my dreamIoften ask myself. When I was a little boy, I wanted to be a soldier with a gunso that I could defend our motherland.

Now I am a young boy with a new dream——to be a doctor. I want to be afamous doctor, helping the sick and saving their lives. Why has my dreamchangedWell, at the age of 11 I was ill, badly ill. I was told that I hadcancer. I had to leave both my school and my friends and go to the hospital.Every day I suf-fered the troubles caused by this illness.

I also saw some people who were suffering and dying of ill-nesses. I madeup my mind to become a doctor, so that I can help the sick people and cure themof their diseases. China is a develop-ing country. She needs good medicine andgood doctors, especially in the countryside and lonely villages.

I want to try my best to help the poor sick people of our country. I wantto let them have an opportunity to receive excel-lent treatments for theirillnesses without having to pay much or any money.

I'll do every bit to cure the incurable. I hope to see a world where thereis no cancer, no Aids, no fatal diseases. I'm confident that through the jointefforts of you and me, man will put an end to his bodily sufferings and thisdream of mine will one day be brought into reality.

  hello everyone!

I have a dream that one day every vally shall be exalted, every hill andmountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crookedplaces will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, andall flesh shall see it together.

Wow, what a dream it has been for Martin Luther King. But the changingworld seems telling me that people gradually get their dreams lost somehow inthe process of growing up, and sometimes I personally find myself saying goodbyeunconsciously to those distant childhood dreams.

However, we meed dreams. They nourish our spirit; they representpossibility even when we are dragged down by reality. They keep us going. Mostsuccessful people are dreamers as well as ordinary people who are not afraid tothink big and dare to be great. When we were little kids, we all dreamed ofdoing something big and splashy, something significant. Now what we need to dois to maintain them, refresh them and turn them into reality. However, thetoughest part is that we often have no ideas how to translate these dreams intoactions. Well, just start with concrete objectives and stick to it. Don’t letthe nameless fear confuse the eye and confound our strong belief of future.Through our talents, through our wits, through our endurance and through ourcreativity, we will make it.

Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird thatcannot fly. Hold fast to dreams, for when dreams go, life is a barren fieldfrozen with snow. So my dear friends, think of your old and maybe dead dreams.Whatever it is, pick it up and make it alive from today.

  Thank you!

  hello everyone!

Students, guests , teachers and Honorable Judges

  Good morning !

my great pleasure to share my dream with you today. my dream is to become ateacher....

As the whole world has its boundaries, limits and freedom coexist in ourlife. I don’t expect complete freedom, which is impossible. I simply have adream that supports my life.

I dream that one day, I could escape from the deep sea of thick schoolbooksand lead my own life. With my favorite fictions, I lie freely on the greengrass, smelling the spring, listening to the wind singing, breathing the freshand cool air and dissolve my soul in nature at last. Simple and short enjoymentcan bring me great satisfaction.

I dream that one day the adults could throw their prejudice of comic andcartoon away. They could keep a lovely heart that can share sorrow and happinesswith us while watching cartoon or doing personal things. That’s the realcommunication of heart to heart.

I have the belief that my dreams should come true. I am looking forward tosome day coming when I am like a proud eagle, which flies to the blue and vastsky.

  Thank you!
