6B《Asking the way》拓展活动课（课题交流）

Teaching aims:

1.To know the English names of some famous places in Taicang.

The former residence of Zhang Pu, Wang Xijue, Wu Jianxiong cemetery,Zheng He Memorial, Haitian monastery, Wu Xiaobang Museum of Art,South Park,

The ancient town of Shaxi,Plum blossom cottage, The Tianfe Palace ,

Pavilion(亭子)，The Silk Road（丝绸之路）

2.Ss can read and know about four famouse persons:Wang Xijue,Wu

Jianxiong,Zhenghe，Zhangpu .To know some words : Navigator, Zheng He West, Prime Minister,the prime minister physicist, Painter, Traditional Chinese painting, Writer

3.Ss can use some structures to introduce some places like a guide.

4.通过调查等活动，帮助学生了解太仓的一些历史，激发学生对太仓的热爱，

增强身为太仓人的骄傲情感，并树立为发扬和继承优秀文化传统，为太仓更好的明天而努力的决心。

Difficulties and main points:

1.To know and grasp the new words.

2.To use the new words to introduce the places .

Tasks before class ：

1.以小组为单位收集关于：张溥故居，郑和纪念馆，天妃宫，王锡爵故居，南园，吴晓邦艺术馆，吴健雄墓园，沙溪古镇，梅花草堂，海天禅寺的资料。

2.了解张溥，郑和，王锡爵，吴健雄，吴晓邦的信息。

3.查字典，自学以下英语单词：former residence，palace，memorial，monastery，ancient，cemetery，pavilion，silk ，navigator, Zheng He West, Prime minister,the prime minister physicist, painter, traditional Chinese painting, writer

Teaching procedures

Step 1 Pre-task preparation

Step 2 While-task activities
